A man who was nearly involved in a traffic collision was arrested on heroin charges February 22, 2013.
Edmond C. Aldridge, 32, 1922 Hwy. 389, Carrollton, was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance first degree (heroin). Aldridge almost hit a car on Fifth Street near the U.S. Bank.
Carroll County Deputy Sheriff Daniel Rose responded to the scene and Aldridge gave permission to search his truck. Deputy Rose found a needle with what is believed to be heroin residue inside. Aldridge admitted to using heroin. Aldridge was lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center.
