Driver Admits to Alcohol, Drug Use

A car stopped in the middle of Highway 227 near Goose Creek Road prompted a call to police. The driver was arrested and taken to jail after admitting to using alcohol and drugs.

Dean A. Langston, 47, 156 Happy Hollow Lane, Worthville, was charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol. He was found sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with the car running and the emergency flashers on.

Carroll County Deputy Sheriff Daniel Rose attempted to rouse Langston for several minutes. He finally awoke and admitted to drinking and using Hydrocodone, methamphetamine and marijuana. Langston failed all of his field sobriety tests and was taken to the Carroll County Hospital. He was ultimately taken to the Carroll County Detention Center.
